Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the website: Not relevant
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: We currently have a Wordpress website, which is using Woocommerce and an additional plugin (Woocommerce Simple Auctions). This has had basic configurations and works as expected. However, we do not wish for our users to use the Wordpress back-end administration to submit a new "product" and instead wish them to use a web form (an in-development version of this is ready on the site) to submit the product data to the database, to start a new auction. Most of this works, however we have been unable to make the auction page work as expected after submitting product information from the form. At the moment, the auction does not show a "bid" button, a "buy it now" button, the correct "auction end date" and "time left" (due to auction end date). We presume that initiation variable(s) is required for this, that we've been unable to ascertain.
Description of requirements/features: 1:Documentation of each change made to make the requirements work (MUST - as the site you will work on is DEV only and we must have the ability to recreate the changes to make it work)
2: On the listing page for each new product submitted via the front-end form, we require:
2.1: The auction end date to be the same as chosen on the web form (MUST)
2.2: The auction "bid" button, which will include the "+"/"-" buttons to increment the auction price(MUST)
2.3: The auction "buy now" button with the requested buy now price (MUST)
2.4: The "Time left" to show the time left until the end of the auction, in conjunction with the correct end date from 2.1(MUST)
3: The administrator has the ability to view and edit the submitted web form data, which can be accessed via the "Product" menu item on the Wordpress back-end (MUST)
4: WP-Types (views, CRED,Types) is installed and can be used if necessary (OPTIONAL)
5: Wordpress, Woocommerce and Woocommerce Simple Auctions to be used for all the above requirements
6: Use of PHP coding permitted with HTML, CSS and Javascript (anything else, please discuss beforehand)
7: The current site must still be operable as before the changes were made (excluding requirements in 2.x that do not work) Should the web form or custom fields need to be modified or removed, to meet the requirements, then this is permitted in accordance with requirement 1.
8. Each requirement will need to pass User testing, for it to be considered satisfied
Extra notes: We are happy to work with the successful developer to provide any further clarification, answer questions and give access details and URL's.
