Description
Experience Level: Expert
The objective of this project is to migrate a webpage front-end website to a scalable WordPress environment. The primary goal is to empower the marketing team with full control over content, blog posts, and landing pages without technical dependencies.
This project involves developing a Custom WordPress Theme (or a heavily customized Child Theme) based on a modular design system. This ensures that the brand’s specific colors, typography, and playful identity are hard-coded into the site settings, allowing the team to create new, consistent pages in the future easily. The site will serve as a high-performance acquisition channel, directing users to the existing external booking/payment platforms (e.g., Stripe) via strategic Calls to Action (CTAs).
Discovery & Architecture
* Content Audit: Cataloging all existing pages (Home, Method, Teachers, Blog), images, and videos.
* Sitemap Definition: Structuring the new menu hierarchy to match or improve the current user flow.
UI/UX Design & Theming
* Visual Replication (Pixel Perfect): Recreating the specific look and feel of the company (colors, fonts, playful layout) using a WordPress Page Builder (e.g., Elementor Pro) or a Custom Theme.
* Mobile-First Approach: Ensuring all information, especially pricing tables and teacher profiles, is perfectly readable on mobile devices.
* Interactive Elements: Implementing the testimonials carousel, accordion FAQs, and video modals for the "Why Does It Work?" section.
Core Development (CMS)
* WordPress Installation: Setup of the core CMS on the chosen server.
* Multilingual System: Implementation of WPML or Polylang to manage content in English, Spanish, and French, ensuring the language switcher works seamlessly across all pages.
Content Migration
* Core Pages: Migration of text and layout for Home, How it Works, Courses by Age, and Pricing (Display only).
* Blog Migration: Transferring all existing articles preserving dates, authors, and featured images.
* Media Optimization: Compressing and converting current assets to WebP format for faster load times.
SEO & Performance
* SEO Foundation: Installation of Yoast SEO to manage titles, meta descriptions
* 301 Redirect Strategy: Crucial implementation of redirects from old URLs to new WordPress URLs to maintain Google rankings.
* Speed Optimization: Setup of caching (WP Rocket) and image optimization to ensure high scores on Core Web Vitals.
* Analytics Setup: Re-connecting Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to track page views and clicks on the external "Book" buttons.
Quality Assurance (QA) & Handover
* Cross-Browser Testing: Ensuring the site looks correct on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
* Link Validation: Verifying that every "Sign Up" or "Price" button correctly redirects to the external platforms like stripe.
* Training Session: A 1-hour workshop teaching the team how to edit text, upload new blog posts, and update
Key Deliverables
1. A fully editable, multilingual WordPress Custom Theme (configured with brand colors/fonts).
2. A library of Reusable Design Blocks for easy page creation.
3. Optimized mobile interface.
4. Full migration of the existing Blog history.
5. Documentation/Guide on how to use the new theme.
