Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: We are an investment community
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of requirements/features: I would like to setup an easy to use discussion board/forum/Q&A section for my site www.investor-square.com
It is important to note that I want to use a plugin that integrates with my existing theme and not build a new site from scratch.
I am already using a plugin to do this: https://investor-square.com/forum/
The plugin is called DW Question Answer: https://www.designwall.com/guide/dw-question-answer-plugin/
It is quite attractive but the support is lacking, and I can't figure out how to include a sidebar on the posts so I don't see this is feasible as a long term solution.
I want something that is simple for people to use and that has an attractive design/eye-appealing. I like the ability for users to upvote answers.
Basic requirements:
- Users upvote answers
- Ability to mark as resolved, answered or open
- Ability to see post views
- Ability to see number of answers
- Ability to subscribe to topics
- Ability to create multiple categories
Some of the alternative Wordpress plugins that I am considering:
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/cm-answers/ (favorite)
As mentioned, I do like the look and feel of my existing plugin but the support isn't great and there is a lack of documentation that puts me off.
CM answers seems to be the best alternative.
Oppen to suggestions.
Specific technologies required: Wordpress, BB Press, Discussion Board, Bulletin Board
Extra notes:
