Profile website

Hi - I need a small, responsive website that I can use to promote my upcoming book and have as a professional profile - kind of like a more interesting and expanded LinkedIn profile. I would like to have the following pages: Landing page (full screen image design with photo of me and the book), Book page (with details on the book and link to purchase), Author Bio page (where I will highlight other projects as well), mailing list sign-up, blog section, contact page, upcoming events page, and social media links. Maybe a basic legal/footer page template; GDPR appropriate data handling too. I will create photography and copy (and I can insert this myself); I just need an appropriate design template, and configuration. I had originally hoped to do this is Wordpress as I have other websites in Wordpress and would like to keep everything together; however, my premium account on wordpress.com doesn't give me the freedom to upload a custom template, and wordpress.org is a little intimidating and overwhelming to set up myself (I was a former developer for over a decade, but my skills are rusty). I am also open to considering other platforms (for example, Wix), but in my experience they don't offer the same degree of flexibility on customisation. I have some preferences on design layout, but not entirely clear or confirmed. Configuration of the domain should be straightforward; I have already purchased my domain. Please respond if you already have experience making sites for authors, speakers, coaches or personalities as part of your portfolio (I do not want to see portfolio items that do not fit this description, please).
