Need help with simple Wordpress site

General information for the website: Food blog
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 4-5
Description of every page/module: Home- Short description and to include the main blog (which I can update myself on a running basis). Should also have a bio pic/short description which links to the 'About Me' Page. I would also like an 'Events' banner or dialogue box on this page which I can update myself. If this is not possible, I would then have a fifth page for 'Events'. Home should also have links to Instagram etc

About me- Pic and text (to remain static)

Eat- list of restaurants reviewed which link/direct to that post. I want to be able to add to this page myself- Looking for a simple style and the easiest way possible.

Drink- as per Eat page

Description of requirements/features: So, I have purchased the domain name and hosting through SiteGround. I have installed Wordpress and found a theme I like.... now I need help setting it up :)
I am not looking for anything too technical at all- just a clean and simple site which I can easily update myself afterwards. Therefore I may also need to speak/skype with the developer before the job is complete to ensure I know how to continue once the design is complete.
