Description
Experience Level: Entry
the site: Toosfoundation.com>
the page: Events>The sub-menu: Highlights
the problem: error message asking for a flash player
Basically the project boils done to this: I want a .php page changed so that instead of loading a JS function which needs Flash player it should point to the youtube video via iframe (I do not know how to send the php files here)
Explanation: On the Event page when we press the Highlight button we get a message asking for Flash player. Our videos are all mp3 most of which are currently uploaded to our own site. But even when we place a youtube link we still get the same error. [The normal practice for us is to place the address/url in a Custom Field (on the post category: events) called "events-highlights-en"]
It used to work up until recently but we suspect the reason that it not working now is that the main browsers have stopped supporting Flash players.
I have checked the theme for the code behind the event page (file name category-17.php) and it carries a JS function expecting a flash player. We can stop uploading videos directly to our own server and simply place youtube links, but even this does not seem to work as the page is hardcoded to expect flash player.
What we require is to find out what the problem is and fix it by changing the PHP code so that the custom field is embedded to youtube video via iframe rather than the current JS code linked to Flash player (please note the site is bilingual so for category-17.php there is also another copy category-21.php which has the same code for the Persian page. So both pages need fixing.)
