Fix an problem error in wordpress custom design

I have a website using wordpress. I have edited the design to fit in with the look of the website but just underneath the main header photo I have some white space. I need this padding removed and text aligned so the wordpress/new page looks like the rest of the site.
I know it's something very simple but i'm missing it because I spent much time looking at it.
