FROM MY HOSTER
'I had to take steps to block a massive spam issue on your account. I suspended it until you can contact me and let me know that you have this under control. Your blog sent out about 1000 emails before I noticed it and shut it down. You’ll have to confirm to me that you are going to work on it “immediately” upon me turning it back on.
Attached is just one of the emails sent…
It appears to be using a phpmailer of some sort. So if you got any type of script/plugin that sends outbound email, you need to delete it or at the very minimum get it upgraded and patched. But my recommendation is to delete it. Evidently the programmers didn’t know what they were doing and for that… you should not trust future scripts/plugins by that author.
The account has been reactivated and the rename the public_html directory to public_html.bad
When whomever fixes it, just have them rename the current public_html to public_html.maintenance and then rename public_html.bad to public_html. Then do whatever they need to do quickly.
