To work with Word 2016
I need a Word VBA function that will apply specified text layout to a numbered list level.
In Styles, Modify Multilevel List, there is a box for “Enter formatting for number”. This is the Item that needs to be modified via VBA.
I want a VBA function, something like:
Function SetMultiLevelList( ListNumber, Format)
Write the value of Format to the correct element of the Document Object Model for that list item
End Function
For example, to get the value in the image attached, I would call:
SetMultiLevelList(5, “Policy %1.%2.%3.%4.%5”)
Testing
1. Set up a multilevel list.
2. Call the function with a list level number (e.g. 5) with some text and specified formatting
3. Verify that the value has been set in the multilevel list.
4. Call the function with a different list level number (e.g. 3) and specified formatting
5. Verify that the value has been written and that no other levels have been affected.
Skills:
Proven deep experience with VBA
