I require a spreadsheet to be designed in excel with or without visual basic that shows a number of central processing units (basic computer CPU's) say 50, running a number of different tasks, say 100. The model must allow the user to change the tasks and number of CPU's based on failures of CPU's.
The CPU's will monitor each other in case of failure and the model should assume that the next processor will take control of the other task if a CPU or number of CPU's fail.
The model should also assume that no one CPU will ever run at 100% and some spare capacity will be available. Tasks can just be assigned random CPU demand values, again, these should be able to be changed by the user.
If you assume a duo core processor running at say 2Ghz, 4GB of Ram, 2 TB hard drive. This should be sufficient for a basic model.
