Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We operate a Microsoft-based network with 4 servers, one of which is our email / SBS server. It is an IBM eServer x3400 (7976KMG) running Windows Server Standard FE on SP1. We have a RAID configured disks. We need to install additional capacity as the existing space is low.
We require the supply and installation of 2 IBM harddrives to be added to existing RAID configuration. No more than 2 hours work.
Our offices are in the Leeds / Bradford area and are easily accessible by rail from either city.
Experience in this type of work is essential !
Please provide cost of disks and labour separately, or please state if you can provide the installation only, as we are currently sourcing disks ourselves.
Thanks
UPDATE 13May2011:
current config is 4 disks (IBM part 39R7362) 136GB each in a raid 5 config. Not necessarily the best configuration? Intention is to add capacity to existing configuration, although we could set up a separate logical drive using the new disks and separate out our exiting user data and profiles from the system files but this would involve changing user configs.
I'm not sure how long this would take - more than 2 hours!
Also, not sure if we have a spare raid controller in the server...
Please quote accordingly, and please ask if there are any other questions.
