Hi Alan,
I am trying to understand what you would like to achieve here. To add some context why does the script need restarting every 6 hours? Does the restart force the script to fresh data? or does the script fail if it runs for more than 6 hours? Is this overcoming a fault with the script?... for example. To me if the answer is yes to any of these questions we should probably look at fixing this up in the script itself and having it run as a proper daemon / service rather than just bandaging it up with a cronjob. Anyway please let me know and I can raise an appropriate proposal for you.
Best Regards,
Rob
