Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: IT Desktop Support
Description of requirements/functionality: We have a synology NAS that has created a lot of duplicate files during a USB restore.
All the duplicate files have the string 'USBCopy_Jul' in the filename. However there are so many of them (60,000) that the GUI search tools we have available crash before the search results can finish.
We have CLI access via SSH, and are looking for a command or script to:
Find files in specified folder (and subfolders) that have the string USBCopy_Jul in the filename and mv matching files to a new path.
These should be simple commands for someone who actually knows linux CLI - sadly we don't!
OS requirements: Linux
