Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Our current game system uses serialization to store most of our important data and we would like to move on to database saving, specifically MySQL. Serialization is at the core of our system so it might be a bit tough.

Hi Micheal,
1. Is choice of MySQL based on some factors or you simply pick some known persistance component ?
2. Do you consider NoSQL stores as they might be better fit for how you currently deal with data.
3. Do you consider API modifications? Not sure if that applies but it feels that serialzing API might be too atomic when it comes to dealing with certain things i.e. load/saveGEOffers - so you load a whole thing and then you save whole thing - there is no possibility to save or edit single offer, without loading whole collection.
cheers,
Krzysztof
