Description
Experience Level: Entry
Essentially this is what I need done.
I have purchase orders that are in excel format.
The fields that need to be copied are the following
ItemID - Quantity - Price
Those values need to be copied into my account software (Sage 50 Canadian)
Now this accounting software CANNOT bulk copy it has to be copied line by line/cell by cell
So the script needs to be able to something like this:
1. Copy ONE ItemID from the excel file,
2. Alt-Tab into Accounting software
3. Then paste into appropriate box in the accounting software.
4. Alt Tab back to excel file
5. Copy the value in the QTY cell
6. Alt-Tab into Accounting software
7. Then paste into appropriate box in the accounting software.
8. Alt Tab back to excel file
9. Copy the value in the Price cell
10. Repeat until all items have been added to the accounting software
Some orders can have as low as 1 items some order might have 50-70 items so the script needs to be able to adapt to how many columns there is on that order as it is not a fixed value.
I attached an example of our orders in excel file.
We are also open to the idea of bulk copying and pasting the order into another file as the top part prior to column 24 is not needed.

Hi Jacob, there are several products supporting the import of sales order from Excel into Sage 50, why won't you use something like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4g1YZCCACA I can help you with creating a macro to automate the conversion from your file format to the required CSV format.
