Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need a piece of sw (php and javascript (jquery is ok)).
Server has json files in a directory (directory has to be configurable in the code).
Page has to work in Chrome.
Directory structure could be (but does not have to be) /var/www/html/editjsonfile.php and the files are in /var/json/*.json.
UI should be something understandable, so that admin level user understands how to use it, but the UI is not the key in this project.
When user enters to the page show him/her all .json files from the directory (pulldown or list) where user can select one of them.
After selecting a file, show json file content to the user.
Allow user to modify the json content and then save it back to the server.
Keep the format, charset (utf-8) and special characters like / consistent and json compatible, but you do not need to do complicated json format checking.
You can do json_encode (or similar but this is not must have) if that fails then notify user but if it does not then json format is ok.
You can assume that user knows what s/he is doing.
When saving the file store the original version as -presentdateandtime.json to same location and save the new one using original filename.
I do not have server available for your developing. I will test your delivery in my localhost.
