There's a big increase in Google Maps API prices
We have a live site in the UK on WordPress using a customised store locator (about 3,300 stores) based on https://www.wpmapspro.com/
The store locator displays the user's location on the map and the nearest stores
Each month 200,000 geocoding API calls to geocode location searcher enters and 70,000 API calls to display maps (not sure why it's 3:1 ratio)
1) Could you amend the plugin to store the geocoding results locally - and when a user searches check if we already have the result locally? And only use the API for new locations?
2) Could you cache the map display API calls for 30 days (limit allowed by Google)
This would all have to be done without affecting site performance/speed
Stores are only in UK and Eire.
Thanks

Hi Graham,
As the post is already a couple of weeks old, I'm not quite sure whether you're still looking for a solution on this or not, but if so, please just let me know.
Thanks,
Tom
