Description
Experience Level: Expert
Our office is using two ISPs to connect to the Internet. ISP-A is using a Cisco 7200 VXR (ISP managed router) and ISP-B is using a Cisco 7206 VXR (we manage this router). The two routers are connected together using HSRP with a virtual IP gateway for outbound traffic. For inbound traffic, we are using BGP.
We want to switch the inbound traffic from one ISP to another and need assistance from someone who has experience with this type of configuration. Again, this is simply a primary and second ISP setup with no load balancing. NOTE: Everything is working very well today and all we want to do is switch inbound traffic between ISPs. By the way, we only have Telnet access to one router but we should be able to switch between ISPs.
We have the full IOS configuration for both routers and will share the information with the selected candidate. All work will be done using PUTTY and the session will be a remote on our PC - for security reasons. FYI - The consultant who set this network left for a full time position and he is too busy to assist us.
We can chat over Skype on the details or discuss over a regular phone call - your choice. There are other opportunities if this project works well, like MPLS setup with other sites and so on.
Only respond if you are have experience with this setup.
Thank you.
