Description
Experience Level: Expert
The Company
The London School of Attraction (www.lsattraction.com) is a site that offers dating advice to men. The business is six months old and the main marketing strategy is a blog which currently has 250,000 words.
The Problem
The company have recently changed their site from a custom Wordpress build to a standard Wordpress theme on a Genesis Framework. The site is currently not secure and has recently been compromised. This follows on from a summer of technical issues which were not satisfactorily dealt with. These technical issues ranged from permission errors to server outages.
The Role
For a technical expert to become part of the team whilst working remotely. The role has two distinct parts:
1) To review the current site and ensure it is free from security issues and then to configure the site so it is as secure as possible (inc advice on hosting).
2) To be retained on a monthly basis to trouble shoot any instance of the web-site being inaccessible to the user (i.e. if it has a virus or has compromised in some way). This part of the job is crucial and will cover ANY instance of the site being non-operational. We anticipate that if the security measures are set accordingly that with a simple Wordpress site there would hopefully be no need for any trouble shooting. However, the contactor must be able to resolve problems quickly.
The technical expert must be the same for parts one and two.
Lastly, the consultant must be prepared to travel to Central London to give us a short demonstration of the security measures taken.
