I need to have an instrument driver improved and fixed that I downloaded from National Instruments (NI) - Third Party. It works fine and communicates with the instrument. Here are the changes that I would like to have completed. I will provide the current driver in its current state from NI and the manual which has all of the code calls required for GPIB communication.
a. The Driver for the EG&G 5208 (Which I downloaded from NI) is stable and accurate in the LogR/Theta Mode but not in the X/Y and R/Theta Mode – Very Strange as it should be the same – Instrument is Fine
b. Need to adjust the Time Constant as the Frequency changes – this is held constant in the current driver which is an issue for the lower frequencies – need longer time constant for the filter
c. Need to have it scan from one frequency to another; would like multiple samples (user defined) at each frequency with an average reported and a moving average (user defined) smoothing algorithm added
d. Write to file (user defined file name) – CSV format
e. Plot the results in a X-Y (Nyquist – Real and Imaginary) format
