Description
Experience Level: Expert
I want a script that searches for broken or not efficient working parts and elements in e-commerce websites, we should together define what to look for so that we then can automatically report the broken details to the site owner.
Some details can be:
plain text email addresses that are not linked
images that are resized in the HTML code making the page load the full-size image scaled down
Images larger than normal resolution
website loading time exceeding 2 seconds
dead links and other error pages
Missing sitemap.xml in website root
Missing robots.txt in website root
now for me to trust that you can do this work I like you to get back to me with 5 ideas of things that you think we should include in the script
When we found the errors we should create a drop email campaign where we highlight some of the problems and also point out that we have a longer list of more serious problems that we could help them solve or if they prefer they can buy the error report by ordering it from this URL xxxxxxxx with a paypal order button, where if they make the payment get the report emailed to them automatically.
If they make the purchase of the report we should check if the problems are solved, every 14 days and as long as we don't see all being solved we keep emailing them a gentle reminder that we are here to help them improve their website at any time.
I will write all of the emails
Obviously the script have to find the email address automatically and email the site, if we don't get a reply then try the other email address you find on the site until we get a reply.
Blacklist of email addresses never to contact:
no-reply@....
noreply@....

donotreply@....
Prioritize email addresses with a dot . As that's normally a name email address, for example ed.swan@site.com
