Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: We custom manufacture Storm Shutters for customers. We currently have a excel workbook to create estimates, build sheets, and orders.
Num. of modules: 4
Description of requirements/functionality: Module 1: Inventory Module
Setup inventory of the required materials to produce an order. I must be able to input the item number, description, cost per in or cost ea.
Module 2: Customers Module
Customer Information would be accessed here.
Module 3: Orders Module
New Orders and Estimates would be entered here. You would be able to type in the customer information from the order/estimate form if you do not want to select someone already in the database. You would have the option of saving the customer information for future orders. Estimates would consist of Customer Info, then each line item would need a quantity, width, and height of the particular shutter type the customer would want a price on. Also would need to be able to convert an estimate to and order and give a invoice for the job. Estimates should be able to be printed aswell as attached to a new e-mail using the e-mail address on the customer information.
Module 4: Manufacturing
This module would use the estimate information to view and or print a cut sheet for each line item giving the total amount of each material needed for that line item. The cut sheet also tells you how many of each piece you need per shutter panel and what the cut sizes are for those. It also would have me setup my finished products and associate the materials needed for them.
I also want to be able to create a order for my supplier here. The amount of materials ordered is based on my inventory and what leftovers I will have on the current order when cutting my materials. Leftovers would be compared to cut sizes on other line items to see where they are best used.
Specific technologies required: Database
OS requirements: Windows
