Description
Experience Level: Expert
I WILL IGNORE PROPOSALS THAT DON'T SHOW THEY'VE READ THE FOLLOWING:
I'm looking for someone to help me create a flexible API integration into a Wordpress theme.
We want to sync various properties we own with our bookings manager called Vreasy. They have a pretty comprehensive REST API, https://www.vreasy.com/docs/public-api/ in which we'll be looking to pull property availability and rates over given dates onto our website that's hosted on Wordpress.
Ideally this will result in a search bar on the homepage and general pages, in which visitors can search the website for their dates and see what properties are available given the portfolio on the website.
And then on property specific pages, the API integration will mean we'll be able to give people accurate rates on how much the rental will be. Given the length of their stay and their dates. From there, a visitor will be able to book the dates, which will post a booking to the channel manager and block the dates out in the calendar. Suggestions on how easy it would be to take payment etc. through Stripe at this stage would be great, if not alternatives like: posting a provisional booking may be a good first step.
I would really appreciate it if BEFORE REPLYING you provide a small blueprint as to how you'd propose to handle the date selection side of things, how we can sync Wordpress with Vreasy, and the general architecture / how it might work. This is also true of how we might be able to make properties bookable. Equally, if you could add "I read to the bottom" at the top of your reply that'd show that you read thee brief properly.
I have a very good knowledge of front end development, though am really looking for a good developer to help me with this type of work going forward. My preferred working relationship would be to collaborate on the code through GitHub and chat via Slack.
