Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are a maintenance company who clean, survey and repair a variety of assets such as drains, pumping stations and lampposts on a regular basis. Maintenance is commonly completed on a fixed regime across a network, regardless of the individual asset requirements.
By understanding local influences and collecting information in a usable way planning can be much more efficient.
We currently use a number of hardware and software solutions to capture this data in the field and a number of applications to analyse and present the information. We are looking for a single in house solution to hold, interrogate and present this data to our clients.
Asset Database
Requiring PHP / My SQL skills to build and potentially maintain a database for assets. Database must be OS tile, GIS based so that geospatial queries can be completed, GIS layer information can be Import/exported (by TAB or SHP file) & Integration to web map servers is likely.
2 way collection and distribution of asset data is required via an API to communicate with our mobile data collection software and other reporting software (to integrate their data). Some integration will include linking xml, video and pdf.
The system should be cloud based, suitable for photos and video within the asset information. Portals are required so that clients can access their data without risking corruption to it or other information held. Running reports by road, area, type of asset, timeframe, condition data will be required.
Different views of how data was collected and planning of regimes for future collection should include calendar, map based, routes and other useful options. Colourisation of assets based on particular attributes within their condition is a must.
This is likely to be an on-going project so we are looking for developers who are prepared to be part of the team going forward. Please respond with skills related to this project and examples of similar projects completed.
Some local attendance required
