General information for the business: Football statistics for amateur players
Kind of development: Adapt existing tracking hardware and new software from scratch
Description of requirements/functionality:
1) Hardware: use existing off the shell UWB tracking system and adapt to work to track 10 football players and 1 football. This should create a set of positional data for each player at 0.1s interval for the duration of a game.
2) Software: From this dataset showing positional (x,y,z,t) coordinates of ten football players and one football at 0.1s intervals for a period of 60 minutes, design a programme which can use logics (what combination of coordinates constitutes what) to interpret the data into footballing actions (passes, shots) and events (goals) and thus calculate statistics for the 60 minute game.
System architecture, including servers, also needs to be designed so that the data and statistics can be stored and accessed through the internet.
This application will need a desktop system-admin interface to control the inputs and hardware, and a mobile/web application to display the statistics to the players.
