Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: IT Support Company
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of requirements/functionality: Need an iPhone App to monitor nightly Computer Backups
We maintain approximately 250 Server/PC's for various clients in the United Kingdom and part of responsibility is to take backups of these.
On Monday to Friday nights an automatic backup of each Server is taken. If a backup is successful we receive an email from the server which includes the name of the server, and also indicating "X Partitions were backed up successfully" where X can be 1 to 4.
If the backup fails we either do not receive the email notification at all or we receive "0 partitions were backed up successfully"
I need an iPhone/iPad App which will query the emails at 6:00 am each morning and compare the results with a list of Servers/PC's which have backups configured for them. The app should indicate which backups has succeeded and which have failed.
Notes:
1. All email addresses use Google Apps for Work Hosted email accounts therefore are are in gmail format.
2. Email notifications will always received by 6:00am the same day as the backup was started and this can be considered the "cut of time" as to whether a backup has succeeded or failed.
3. The App should allow for new Servers and PC's to be added to the app with appropriate Server/PC. It should also provide for older PC's/Server to be deleted from the list when no longer in use.
Please submit a proposal only if you have are an experienced IOS Developer.
