Description of requirements/functionality: A CDMA system that uses the scrambling code generator for the uplink in the WCDMA system has been
developed to generate scrambled binary data. The data is (+1 and -1), but the recall code is complex
valued. The data provided to you used a scrambling number of 3373788 to generate a code of 38400
chips long for one frame of data. The spreading factor is 256. One frame of data contains 15 time slots
and a total of 150 bits. Each time slot contains 10 data bits either (+1 or -1). The first 3 time slots contain
known training bits for timing synchronization which are given as:
1 1 1 1 -1 -1 1 1 1 1 -1 1 1 1 1 -1 -1 1 1 1 -1 -1 -1 -1 1
1 1 1 1 1
The remaining 120 bits of the frame are for you to determine. Noise has been added to the signal,
however the SNR is such that the bits may be recovered without errors.
Your objective is to write Matlab code to determine the 120 unknown bits (+1 or -1). 1 represents 1 and
-1 represents binary 0.
