Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: An Ignition System
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Num. of modules: 1
Description of every module: Hi All,
I know this is an old PIC but I used it to make a simple ignition for my son's race kart. There is a sensor attached to the flywheel that provides a reference pulse every revolution. The PIC determines the RPM of the engine by the number of 100us loops between two successive pulses. It then reads a 'map' to determine the number of 100us loops to delay before firing the plug, to provide the correct timing advance. The engine is allowed to rev to whatever revs it is capable of, but a HIGH RPM flag switches on an LED at a preset RPM. What I want is the use this flag as a revs limiter and prevent the engine from being able to increase its' rpms beyond this preset value. I have attached the code for your consideration.
Regards
Gary
Description of requirements/functionality: As above
