Hi,
I have written a script in .C format and Makefile (along with with data file in .rsv format which a binary file)and it performs the work its supposed to.Rest of the instructions are in the instruction sheets attached in pdf format in zipped folder that is attached (along with the scripts and necessary header file and data).
Now this script is to be used to write further code.
You will need to install ROOT data analysis package along with Geographiclib in the Linux from the following website in order for the script to work.
http://root.cern.ch/drupal
http://geographiclib.sourceforge.net/
Here is the video link to show that script works.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyhIg2_ATlI&feature=channel_video_title
Now the project is described in the two pages sheets that i am attaching. Let me know if something needs to be explained further.A brief overview is that
A. At Linux prompt enter :
> make read_ascii
>./read_ascii
1. Look at the out put of the script after running it.
2. it will plot easting(x-axis) vs northing (y-axis).The end points give the back ground
3. In the middle of plot the background is suppressed by the script and only the arrows pointing towards the probably region of source is shown.
4. Look at the instructions pages.
regards
leo
