Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Synopsis: I run a small garage offering annual servicing and repairs. I would like to log all registration numbers and times that a vehicle is in view of a camera. I would like cameras positioned around the garage, so that their position can be logged.
Hardware: Raspberry Pi, Camera module, WiFi card
MVP details:
->A single camera that is positioned at an angle, either to the side, or high above the main entrance with the ability to register a good enough picture of a vehicle registration number.
->The image of the registration number to be processed so that the number can be extracted and logged to a google sheet
->sheet should show camera number, time, registration number.
Notes:
See map of garage attached.
I will not purchase hardware for you. But we must make sure we can both access the same hardware from our own locations. - Amazon.co.uk is a good start.
I dont mind where you are based, I want the output to be a file that I can put on an SD card and plug into a Raspberry Pi with the same hardware you used to develop the product.
Further development opportunities maybe to add multiple cameras, photo logging and time tracking. Other developments might include NFC or bluetooth beacons that will track proximity of mechanics around the garage.
I am price conscious at this stage, but if you prove your ability I have much more I would like to do.
