Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are a multidisciplinary creative agency who work with with property developers, transport systems and communications networks.
We create cultural strategies, broker cultural partnerships and deliver major art projects to create places with a distinct cultural character.
We have recently been approached by a client to develop an exciting online platform to showcase the burgeoning cultural scene in Deptford, South London.
We are now seeking coders and online developers capable of building a navigable 3D environment (a gallery space) based on a real-life location, which is yet to be built .
The brief -
Design a 1 room 3D ‘white gallery’ environment which can be navigated by mousepad
Room is approx. 30 metres long by 10 meters wide, with large arch windows facing the Thames running the length of one side
Render is based on a real location, as yet unbuilt
Consequently the render needs to be as realistic as possible (within budget)
Render should feature real-time 24hr changing light clock
Also feature views from windows to external landscape based on real views
This 3D environment will contain objects (yet to be defined) which the viewer can interact with and which are actually links to other sites
These ‘other sites’ are themselves online art projects/works
These objects (actually links, or which there will be approx. 10) will change 6 times over the course of a year (links up for 2 month periods at a time)
The appropriate person would work closely with a property PR agency to ensure the look and feel of the space build on previous online initiatives.
We will require a projected timeline to build the navigable space and an estimated quotation on how much it would cost to build to environment based on this conversation.
Additional issues for consideration:
We would like the code to incorporate a simple system to allow 3rd parties to change the links inside the navigable space every 2 months.
If 3rd party code change deemed too complex, we will need an additional quote for managing content every 2 months over the course of a 1 year period.
