Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Based on existing 3D models, build a small prototype application demonstrating a simple chemical apparatus. The application should offer two modes of operation: it can be used with mouse and keyboard or with a VR headset and 3D controller (HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality). Levers and gauges (a manometer and a thermometer) of the apparatus should be operational, i.e. the user can open or close levers which results in the gauges showing a different pressure and temperature (using simple logic, not simulation). The user must be able to walk around the apparatus and look at it from different angles and activate a “cut-away view” of the lower part which shows the inner workings (rotating agitator – it is not necessary to visualize chemicals or liquids).
Technical Requirements
• The application should be based on Unreal Engine 4 (preferred) or Unity3D.
• The application is delivered as deployable entities (executable + data + dependencies) for Windows 10 as well as in full source code (incl. all project files).
• The apparatus is provided by us as a set of textured 3D models (from 3D scans) and a modelled cut-away view of the inner workings.
