Description
Experience Level: Expert
I have a private project - a desktop app - that needs 'cleaning up' with regard to the UI and how certain code works (or doesn't).
Here are three examples for the work required (there are 8 issues in total):
The Splash screen doesn't use QSplashScreen but is implemented using a window and other widgets.
Splash interferes with QMainWindow - closing Dialog widgets (Save, Save As, Settings) exits the app. Turned Splash (class code in main file and 'splash.ui' file) into QDialog but no change for behavior of app.
** Please note: this is the Splash Screen that I want - so the user can see the progress of the app as it starts **
Prevent MainWindow from resizing even when title bar is double-clicked.
Documents.py / UseEd.py - QListWidget to dynamically resize with QTabWidget, QSignalMapper for dynamically created button / label pairs (only 1 label open at any time, if another is open it closes when another button is pressed), each
copy of the label (in the button / label pair) to be sized: height == 0 (closed) when the app initially starts.
I'm using Python 3 and PyQt 5. Whoever does this work would require Python >= 3.7 and PyQt >= 5.9.2 - there shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary for what my requirements are.
Further information is available on request.
Look forward to hearing from you.
