Although the database functions very well in terms of running text string searches that look for keywords populated in the \"Brands\" table, there are certain generic keywords that are creating brand conflicts. For example one brand called \"Simple\" where the word simple could occur as part of a product description for Nike. So instead of Nike we find instances where Simple is inserted as the brand for that product.
The problem is that the 100 or so other brands work very well so any changes to the routines / code already created must not affect these.
Luckily I believe there is a clear and quick solution! For the \"custom_brand\"
field can you adjust the code to only search for the text values contained in the brand table that appear in the \"brand_name\" field, ie dont search every field just the brand_name field.
We have been using / updating the database provided so we will need to send you the latest file before you start work.
I look forward to your costs and timescales.
Hope this is all clear!?
