Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need to scrape room prices for a hotel in Sydney and find what its rates were for the past 12 months. I want to know what time throughout the year when the hotel changed its rates and what time it changed its rates too.
Have a look and spend a while trying to figure out how we can do this.
If you can figure out how to do this I will give you that much work its crazy. I will probably ask you to scrape all the rates for the last 12 months for about 500 hotels roughly.
Get creative and think if there is a possible strategy to get these rate from the past.
One strategy I thought of is don't try to scrape rates off booking.com or Expedia as these sites are very difficult to scrape but scrape a meta search website which lists hotel prices and has very few customers so their have less security maybe and easier to scrape the rates off their website? Eg.) Waylo? maybe?

Could this help you get the rates for the past 12 months for a hotel?

Look into the following websites as well;
http://www.tixik.com/info/api/; Can we just use tixik and scrape data for free there?
https://www.makcorps.com/- literally a site for hotel price comparison API’s
