Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the business: We operate a call centre service
Database management system (DBMS): MySQL
Description of requirements/functionality: We require a system (preferably on mysql) which can host the many databases our call centre agents call from. This system will require some additional features which will be listed below.
1) We require the initial function to upload large databases (sometimes over 1m records) into a 'pool/collection' of databases. From this pool of databases, we will need to allow our call centre agents (based in remote offices), using a simple GUI; to log in - and start receiving a single record at a time for them to dial. (they will dial this number using a shortcut button on the GUI to copy/paste the number in to our voip softphone). Once the agent has completed the call, they can type simple notes - schedule a call back (handled by the system), delete the record, or mark the record with any predetermined statuses.
2) We require the system to provide reports on all the databases that have delivered data to the agents. This basically means, a breakdown of which agents, used which databases and how they performed.
3) We require an operations GUI module which allows us, using the reports in #2, to control the data that is sent to the agents. So, if we feel that database 'A' is effective during Tuesdays and Wednesdays - we want to set 'Rules' where during Tuesdays and Wednesdays most of the data flow is set to originate from this database.
4) User descriptions... Agent (limited to view records, update and amend records, schedule follow up records and mark for deletion) Manager (can view deletion requests and confirm them, can access all reports/statistics, can create new agent ID) Operations (can upload data, mark databases as live or paused, can set rules and paramenters for data flow to the agents) Admin (system wide access)
5) Campaign management - a simple module which will allow Operations to display information regarding current clients on each agents GUI...
Nice to have features...
Ticker tape along the bottom of the agent GUI - displaying simple stats - number of records processed per hour... Agent ranking within team (teams to be defined by Manager)
Extra notes:
