Our Jobtrack system is working, but a few minor bugs have crept in and I think that now is the time to bring it up to date.
The current database runs on Access 2000 on our server as a front/back end. It’s accessible from 5 PCs around the building and can have multiple users at any time.
I have now been advised that it would be better to move the database to MS Access 2007which we have on all of our PCs

Add notes to Supplier screen
Salutation checker sometimes fails on first attempt when printing an estimate, but is ok on second attempt.
VAT calculation on Payment Request fails on first attempt, but calculates on second
General
• We need to be able to ask up to 3 suppliers to quote for the same job.
• We would like to be able to split a job between suppliers and identify them on the job details screen
• Purchase Orders need to include the suppliers reference/quote No
• All correspondence and forms should include our letterhead details and be able to be E-mailed.
• Make all of the screens wider so as to make better use of the space.
Addition
We are in the process of buying a “T Card” system to track the jobs through the various stages. This has the ability to be integrated with our database and full instructions regarding the integration are available in the form of a PDF plus advice from the developer based in the UK. We have been assured by the vendor that this is a straight forward process that many others have completed and we have seen it in action.
