Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for a counter. the input will come from an hall-effect sensor. i need to input the count number. then press reset, then the count should start from zero. the hall-effect sensor will pulse everytime the roller rotates around. It is not a one for one count. I need to be able to give then count a factor number. eg every rotation is 1.55 or 1.45 or any other number, because i am measuring feet not pieces. our rolls have different diameters. Just to let you know. i am using a digital counter right now. The only thing digital counter cannot due is show previous roll after reset. now get back to counter project, once the count is reached, i need it to trigger and output that will ring a bell or light. the counter should continue counter until the operator hits reset. once the reset is press i need the present count to go to new line and say "Last roll length is XXXXXX". the counter should be counting new roll from zero.I am thinking the display should be three line"s.
"Present roll length XXXXXX"
"Roll length needed XXXXXX"
"Previous roll Length XXXXXX"
I need know what equipment/parts needed. I will use and NPN or PNP hall-effect sensor. The reset button will be a mushroom momentary. To input number we can use a touch screen.
