I am looking for a good JQuery, XML and Front-end developer to build an app for our website that pulls in all the videos within our channel.
You will need to use the YouTube API at http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/getting_started.html to connect to the Channel and bring back ALL videos and meta data for each video. We would want all the information inserted into a well constructed XML file - that the front end website design would use.
The XML will also enable us to hook it into a simple CMS to update the 'channel information' and Meta data to use/display.
The Front-end interface will be launched within a lightbox style window. We use Colorbox which can be seen at http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/core/example1/index.html.
The application consists of 2 main pages. Design UIs are attached.
1> Gallery list page - Shows list of videos in grid within a horizontal scrolling carousel. We use BBC's glow framework, which you may also want to use. As long as it is a 360 carousel - so that start and end are endless loops. We have shown the interaction states. When clicking on a video, we would like a cool JQuery transition where the video thumb grows into the video player.
2> Video Player page - selected video plays here. We will need to be able to configure the usual colours and sizes of the player within the XML. These are standard within the YouTube Embed code. This video itself will have it's own carousel to allow the user to scroll back and forth through the videos, without needing to go back to gallery list page.
When the selected video finished playing, we DO NOT want random videos shown that are related, but ONLY the videos from our channel list.
We need this to be .NET and NOT PHP or opensource.
That's about it. If you want to test on any channel, please use http://www.youtube.com/interactiveschools
Let me know if you have any questions.
