Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: Software house - SharePoint 2010, InfoPath 2010
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Description of requirements/functionality: I have a SharePoint 2010 team site. I have created an InfoPath 2010 form to collect the details of team meetings. 1 data connection to a SharePoint list to populate 2 drop down fields in the form. No other special functionality.
We have 200 meetings per year, producing 8-10 actions, 5-10 decisions, 2-10 risks per meeting which are different for every meeting. This includes 1-3 attachments per meeting. These need to be collected on the form. The form will be published to a form library on the SharePoint site. No specialized permissions on the site, everyone can see everything.
What I need is for a sandboxed solution to be created to encapsulate the form and the functionality to copy the actions, risks, decisions collected in the meeting form to corresponding lists for Actions, Decisions and Risks. Each entry is to be a new entry in the corresponding list along with the ID of the meeting for reference. On top of this I need the document attachments to be copied to a document library. All copied data will be related to the meeting by its meeting ID. There is also a requirement to build in an autonumbering solution for each form once it is submitted. I have successfully managed to get the form to post actions, risks, and decisions to the corresponding lists using data connections to CAML queries, and the Lists webservice. What I have trouble with is the copying of documents. This can be accomplished using a sandboxed solution.
I will need this solution ready for testing by 6th October, I will need a plan and proposal for the work breakdown, a time and full cost estimate for this solution. I will provide all required fields, the Infopath form which can be altered to prefect the design, CAML XML data, as well as a diagramatic representation of the proposed solution.
CMS and Admin requirements: The solution needs to be sandboxed, and built for SharePoint 2010, but compatible with Office 365. The list and library names can be hard coded to save time.
Specific technologies required: SharePoint 2010, Sandboxed Solutions, ASP.NET, InfoPath 2010
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: To Recap the Requirements:
1. Complete the form code behind so that the actions, risks and decisions are pushed to the appropriate lists correctly. They should also be pushed as individual items to the lists, so if 3 actions are collected in the form, 3 entries will be created in the Actions list.
2. Implement a simple autonumbering solution for the Infopath forms so that when one form is submitted, it is assigned a Meeting ID which increments with each meeting. It can start from 0001, whatever is the easiest and most manageable solution is acceptable. This meeting Id will be attached to and used to track actions, risks, decisions and documents which have been copied to the lists and document library.
3. Implement a solution to allow for the attachment of up to 3 documents to the meeting details form. When the form is submitted each document should be copied to the Documents library with the following information: MeetingID, Subject from the meeting form as well as the usual SharePoint fields, title, date created and date modified. If this is difficult, It is possible to allow only one attachment on the form, but this should allow a zipped file to be uploaded.
