Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
To any experienced programmers - please contact me.
I am building an IoT demonstration system. I’ll summarise my set-up;
1. Cloud is AWS IoT Core. I do not want to be locked-in to AWS API’s. Once this basic system is working, the next stage is to be able to connect to Microsoft Azure, or an on-premise environment. But to begin with, I’ll use Amazon AWS IoT Core.
2. The IoT Devices are Raspberrypi’s. I have one x Raspberrypi 3, and two x Raspberrypi 4’s.
3. I managed to connect to AWS IoT Core using KURA. I got the security certificates etc all working. Now I want to use Node-RED. Just having some problems with that. But I think I want to stay with Node-RED.
4. My Bluetooth Environment is from ON Semiconductor. The IDE is Eclipse based. I just don’t have enough programming skills to get this working. ON Semiconductor dev board https://www.onsemi.com/support/evaluation-board/rsl10-sip-001gevb I also got the USB Dongle.
5. I do not want to use third-party "bolt-ons". I want this as much as is possible to be pure code. My thought process here is that I don't want a myriad of various third-party products, that all need different upgrades etc.
6. To begin with I am not too worried about application security. I am using X509 certificates and SSL for connectivity. But my thoughts about proper security is that every installation will be unique. I want to get my PoC working. Then that can be used for demonstrations. Once I find someone to help me, we can look at a proper, secure solution, but I want to get this PoC woring first.
7. I work from home, and use VNC to connect to the Raspberrypi’s. Please see the diagram attached.
I am based in the UK. I have a regular "day job", and this is my "hobby". I can work unusual hours, and/or weekends on this. I want someone who is reliable. I don't care what hours you are available. I will "fit" around your availability.
Thanks,
Mike
