Description
Experience Level: Expert
This is for a business that deals with the sale of label printers, repair services (either under an annual service contract or on an adhoc basis) and the sales of consumables.
They are looking to build a database that offers the following functions;
1. Multi User Access (that also tags records with the login of the user that created/modified a record)
2. It only has to work in one physical office but if it's not too much extra it would be really good if we could host it in the cloud (we have our own dedicated web server if that helps)
3. I want to record customer details, multiple sites for some customers.
4. A record of which printers customers own and which are covered by service contracts
5. A repair history of work carried out on each printer
6. I want to keep a record of all of the tooling we have for making labels
7. I want to create label production job sheets for the production team, these also need to be searchable and re-creatable for re-orders.
8. I want to record customer enquiries so that we can search the data and run reports to assist our ongoing marketing and also update customer history with contact made (basically a simple CRM system)
The database is likely to be used by 4 to 5 users, quite possibly concurrently.

Hi Mike,
Does it have to be in Access, because it could be done as a web application with the database been in Microsoft SQL Server or mySql.
Is the dedicated server you already have Windows based or Linux?
