Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Technology Consulting
Description of requirements/functionality: We have project for IT process development using System Center Service Manager. We need help to build service requests and automate System Center Orchestrator.
- Good knowledge in SCSM processes and configuration
- Very good knowledge in SCSM different classes and the relationship between them (for example: Service Request class, Change Request class, Manual Activity class, Reviewer class, AD User class, etc..)
- Very good knowledge in Orchestrator Runbook configuration, especially the scenarios where SCSM processes automation is required.
Below are some of the scenarios
- Get the Affected User of a Service Request (once created), and add him to one or many of the manual activities in the Service Request workflow activities
- Get an Activity implementer, get his Line Manager from AD, and then add the manager as a reviewer in one of the Change Request workflow activities
- Monitor a Manual Activity, and do some action once detected to be failed
- Get the Affected User of a Service Request (once created), get his Department Manager, and then add him as a reviewer in one of the Service Request workflow approval activities
- If the user who’s raising a Service Request is one of the senior level staff, skip all approvals step and go directly to implementation
- Automate Change management approvals
- Automate software deployment using SCCM
- Hardware, software service request with approvals
Specific technologies required: System Center Service Manager, System Center Otchestrator, PowerShell, .Net, VBScript,
