We are looking at designing an i-phone application for one of our customers; they are a breakers/salvage company that specify on selling just one make of car only.
On the front page we want to have 4 main buttons.
• Check for parts (1.)
• Troubleshoot (2.)
• Register/Log in (3.)
• Contact us (4.)
1. Check for Parts Section
The company want to make an application that will do the following.
• Have a keyword search facility that will offer the customer a chance to search for the part only. (headlight Year – 1999)
• A registration section – this will enable the customer to find their model, year and fuel type
• Also a step by step process, the customer will choose the model, year, and fuel. (Similar to the Auto trader mobile website).
When the customer has chosen one of the following ways of finding which car they have it will come to a new screen. This will then show headings for a customer to choose their part they want from.
1. Engine
2. Electrical
3. Brakes
4. Airbags
5. Body panels
6. ECU
7. Exhausts
8. Gearboxes
9. Suspensions
When the customer comes to this screen it should only filter what they have gone through on the first page (For example – Model of Car, 1999, Petrol model). On this page will also be another option for the customer just to type in the part in a keyword search (this would only bring up parts which suit Model of Car, year and fuel typed in).
When the customer goes through to either one of their chosen parts, they will then come to another menu which is very specific on what they choose from. For example, if they choose Engine, there would be 10( or more) different parts for the engine. With one of the main options saying they ‘can’t find your part’.
When the customer finally finds there part, they will go through to a contact us page, this will say ‘in stock.’ They will then be given a number to contact the garage on or they will get the chance for the company to contact them back ‘call me back button’.
On each of the items the customer will have an option to send an email to the company asking for them to call them back with an item code that they are interested in.
2. Troubleshoot Section.
This section will offer advice on what the customer might be having problems with, we will be getting all this information from the end of customer.
3. Register/Log in
In this section this will enable the customer to see what searches they have done before and what car details they have had (Car model, year, fuel type)
