Description
Experience Level: Expert
* We need a RESTful service, which, given needed inputs can instantiate an EC2 spot instance asynchronously at the latest available spot instance price. (POST to /instance with AMI details to start a new instance creation background activity)
* Call to /instance will return a token and a URL from where further status of instantiation request can be found out (GET /activity//status will query EC2 API to give us relevant status information)
* When node has been instantiated, the same status check call to /activity//status will return a success status and a URL to the node's details (i.e., URL to /instance/)
- GET /instance/ will return instance details - such as IP address, etc.,
I/O must be in JSON. Service should be purely non-blocking, asynchronous and should use AWS EC2 API.
You must explain where I must configure my AWS account details.
You must also separate the code into separate files where applicable. Functions should be named and event processing should be separate from application logic and should only reference named functions imported from other files.
This is only part of the final work we're looking to get done - the final work requires more advanced use of AWS APIs.
If this project done well, I will reward final contract to the same person.
