Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
I have an idea for a software that I want to develop and I started working on an implementation model for it. I need someone with a bit more experience in the creation of such documents.
I would need someone to review what I have created so far and help me to develop it further. The document is aimed to not be language specific, just object-oriented in general, but as I studied Java in school any code examples would be ideally provided in Java so I can understand it myself.
Basically, I need is someone to:
1- Review the information that I have created on the document so far. The Search and Display requirements lay down what I envision for the application. If there is anything unclear if anything that I haven't considered when defining the requirements feel free to point out and we can discuss that.
2- Create a very basic list of requirements taken from the description.
3- Review the functional and non-functional requirements cards that I have already created/identified. Create any additional cards if required.
4- Identify the project/application constraints and any additional information that I need to consider when presenting this to a potential developer
5- Identify the classes necessary and create a class description and class diagram. The class description should contain:
5.1 attributes
5.2 links
5.3 association and multiplicity (class diagram)
Note: most of the work in item 5 is already done and just need to be reviewed
6- Identify the use cases and create use case diagrams whenever the use case seems complex and a visual would help to illustrate it better.
7- Identify the methods that need to be implemented in each class and if any interface needs to be implemented.
8- Create walkthroughs and sequence diagrams, with methods and responses, to illustrate the use cases
9- Create some object diagrams to illustrate the state of objects in complex use cases
10. Specify test cases (how the methods can be tested.
Since I am not sure which language/platform I want this to be developed on, all explanation should avoid any specific code. Where pieces of code are necessary, Java should be used as it is the only language that I studied and understand.
At this stage, I do not require the application to be developed, I want to create the complete documentation first.
