We are a company who build bespoke horse lorrys for clients, Our current website goes a long way to informing clients before they make a purchase however we wish to expand this.
We would like to have a login area created, allowing custoemrs to log in with their individual usernames and passwords (allocated by us) once logged in custoerms will see the major stages of a build displayed as a time line, with ticks and crosses (perhaps) showing the stages completed etc, we would als o wish to be able to add images (through a admin panel) to show customers of progress so far. Copys of important documents (PDFs) would also be able to be added to a custoemrs account - a simple check box in the admin panel would indicate weather certain PDFS are shown to individual customers or not or ever shown to all custoemrs (Say a terms and conditions document) Not visibale to clients we would also like a simple conversation log, allowing members of staff to log in and write notes with a date and time about conversations had with the customer, allowing this to be accessed at a later date to recall what was noted.
This would basically be the \'first phase\' of the project wit ha view to expaning it at a later date if and when further functionality is required, the customer UI is really important to us and must be easily understood and used by users of all ages - possibly using help buttons or AJAX prompts to guide the user through the process. Something like the gocompare website would be cool. Details we hold on the customer (NAme, Address, Email, Phone etc) to be shown prominently around the area, with the option to change details available to customer with an email been generated to us if a user udates contact details. Automatic email sent to customers if the timeline is updated by us or if new files / images are added to their account (individual / or global).
