Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I require a simple android App to be built that has a few functions.
First function is to be able to set a password on the app which other phones will use to authenticate with the app.
The password will need to be set when the app is first loaded up. Other mobile phones can then authenticate to send commands by sending the first command of 'AUTH *password*' via SMS. Once another phone is authenticated it is free to send the below commands to the phone. The other phone should only have to authenticate once. Phones can be removed from this list manually from inside the app.
Second function is to send location information via SMS (ideally with a google maps link) to a phone that has sent a message requesting the information. Other mobile phones will be able to request this information by sending an SMS containing 'LOCATION' to the phone.
If a location command is sent with a number after the command, such as 'LOCATION 1', the phone will send the location information every 1 minute to the phone sending the command. The numeric value can be changed so that a command such as 'LOCATION 2' will send the information every two minutes. This can be turned off by sending the command 'LOCATION OFF'.
Fourth function is to turn the flashlight either on or off triggered by an SMS. Other mobile phones will be able to turn the flashlight ON by sending an SMS containing 'RELAY ON' to the phone. Other mobile phones will be able to turn the flashlight OFF by sending an SMS containing 'RELAY OFF' to the phone.
The fifth function is for the phone to send an SMS message to all of the authenticated numbers when the phone is not charging. The phone will then send an SMS to all authenticated numbers including the location and the battery percentage every time the phone loses a percentage of charge. This percentage should be able to be set in the app.
All functions will need to be able to run in the background.
Ideally the app will need to restart itself if it crashes.
