Luxury Travel Content Producer — Research, Scriptwriting, Video Editing and Publication Preparation
We are developing Polished Traveller, a luxury travel blog and YouTube channel, and need a freelancer to turn our travel archive into engaging, useful content.
Our focus includes hotels and holiday rentals, business-class travel, remote working abroad, restaurants and bars, and coastal and mountain walks worldwide.
Our audience is affluent, young-at-heart couples with greater freedom as family commitments change—people who want to travel well now.
The project
We have an extensive archive of photographs, video clips and Google reviews. As we both work full time, we need someone to manage production with limited input from us.
We will not provide a finished script. Reviewing the material, researching the destination and writing the narration are essential.
We will begin with one paid pilot for a selected trip or destination, with potential ongoing work.
Your responsibilities
• Review selected photographs, footage and relevant Google reviews.
• Propose the strongest storyline and content angle.
• Identify featured venues and verify current names, official websites and booking links.
• Write a complete narration script for our review, correction and approval.
• Flag missing facts in one concise, consolidated question list.
• Edit the main video using our voiceover recorded after script approval.
• Create supporting content and prepare approved material for publication.
Some older trips mainly contain photographs, so you must create compelling narrated stories from still images.
Distinguish our experiences from researched suggestions. Do not invent visits, prices or opinions, and clearly date historical material.
Please quote for this pilot package
• One complete narration script in an editable document.
• One polished YouTube video of approximately 6–10 minutes, depending on the material.
• Four vertical clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• One YouTube thumbnail.
• One companion blog article with useful destination and venue links.
• Suggested titles, description, chapters and pinned comment.
• Social captions, relevant hashtags and a two-week publication schedule.
• Preparation of the YouTube upload and website article as unpublished drafts, subject to agreed access.
• Final exports, editable project files and final narration text.
State how many script and video revision rounds are included.
Commercial thinking
Our objective is income that helps fund future adventures through affiliate bookings, destination guides and eventual partnerships.
Identify suitable commercial opportunities for the pilot and add approved links and clear calls to action. Options include accommodation, experiences, a downloadable itinerary or guide, and partnerships.
Use only approved affiliate accounts and agreed discount codes, disclose commercial relationships clearly, and do not guarantee views or earnings.
What we will provide

• Narration-script corrections and approval.
• Our recorded voiceover after approval.
• Existing approved affiliate links, where available.
Specify the photograph and raw-footage volume covered. Reviewing the selected trip is included; organising our full historical archive is not.
Style
Elegant, warm, personal and informative, with honest opinions and useful advice. We prefer thoughtful pacing, clear sound, readable captions and restrained effects.
AI tools such as Choppity or Descript are welcome, but research, writing and final edits require careful human review. We will record our own voices.
Quotation and timeframe
Provide a fixed price for the complete pilot and an estimated timeframe. Our target is about four weeks, including script approval and voiceover recording.
State all exclusions, VAT, additional charges and required subscriptions.
If you recommend a smaller or larger package, explain and price it separately. We welcome ideas that improve quality, reduce our involvement or better use the material.
Please include in your proposal
1. Two or three relevant portfolio examples, ideally travel and photograph-led storytelling.
2. An example narration script or article you wrote.
3. Your fixed price, exact deliverables and source-material allowance.
4. Your workflow and required input from us.
5. Confirmation of commercial music licensing and editable project-file delivery.
6. Your availability and indicative ongoing-work pricing.
We will assess storytelling, writing and editing quality, organisation, completeness and value. We need someone who can research, write, edit and prepare publication—not merely edit from a finished script.
