Description
Experience Level: Expert
I work with a number of clients, predominantly in the lifestyle sector (hotels, restaurants, retailers, fashion etc), for which I provide a broad spectrum of online marketing services. I am looking to trial a writer to add to my content team as a regular writer for tweets and Facebook posts (knowledge of Google+ and Linkedin a bonus, but not essential). I need an exceptional writer, who is able to quickly get under the skin of a brand, and emulate their voice to reach a particular audience. I need someone who is adept at curating and creating excellent quality content, which will engage, inform and convert potential customers. Some of my brands are very high-end, so the writing ability needs to be very high - clean, concise, humorous at times, but always classy. You need to posses an excellent grasp of grammar (no overuse of exclamation marks(!!!), overly lengthy suspension points (i.e..........), or meaningless hashtagging (#Thishashtagwontlinktoanyothercontentsowhybother) please!) You need to be able to quickly understand a brief (which will be supplied for each new brand I bring to you), and supply weekly/fortnightly copy in a prompt fashion for it to be approved by the client. Most of the brands require a lot of imagery as this always performs better, so you will need to be prepared to source images, label them correctly so I can attach them to correct tweet during scheduling, and send via dropbox or other means.
At the moment, I will provide you with excel templates to write content onto, usually on a fortnightly basis per brand (3/4 brands per fortnight to start with). I am hoping to move to a more succinct system in the next few weeks which will mean you can write your content straight into a scheduler for approval by me and it won't need to be uploaded separately. Although this shouldn't take you anymore time (in fact probably less as you will simply attach the correct image, as opposed to labelling and sending), I want you to understand that this will be a requirement going forward.
I pay 25p per piece of content, whether it is Facebook or Twitter. I expect this to work out at about £125 worth pcm (approx - this may vary depending on the amount of work I have in each month, although is only likely to increase over time as my business grows). You will be paid on a fortnightly basis for the content you have produced in that period. My business is 'freelance' at the moment, but as of October I am launching a full scale agency, so the right freelancer could find themselves with a lot more work, at much better rates if they prove themselves as competent now, We may even be looking to hire a freelance social media manager, so the possibility to secure a position early on is definitely there. Obviously if this is not something you would be interested in, there is no requirement to do so to win this job!
Please provide me with links to any Twitter accounts you currently provide content for, plus an explanation in your own words of what you think the content mix should be on Twitter (i.e. balance of promo vs. engagement etc) and what the purpose of the content is.
I look forward to hearing from you!
